The El Seif Design Centre presents a rare opportunity to define a world class destination venue, a cultural haven with an unparalleled scope and program. The design center is about creativity, collaboration, cross-pollination–a place where incubator offices will thrive.
The program of showrooms, café, boutique hotel, offices and lecture theater are organized around a Garden Oasis conditioned environment of arid-appropriate plants. Bridges, stairs and undulating topography ‘stitch’ the north and south sides together below catenary ETFE shades, evoking wonderful souk ‘market’ experiences throughout the world.
The planning strategy allows for reapportioning (in design and in the future) of school, office, and showroom functions as needs change—a sustainable, adaptable armature for future generations. Heritage Project
